was given the gift of flight. As he took the controls of the Cessna 210, his head was flooded with memories of his life long ago. Ware was an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force, serving in the Southwest Pacifi c during World War II from 1943-1946. He
was Commanding Offi cer of the 35th Fighter Control Squadron during the atom bomb missions that led to the end of the war. He was recalled to service in 1950 and served an additional 27 months in the Korean War.
In his postwar life, Ware was President
of Micro Publication Systems, with international offi ces in Los Angeles, Chicago, London and Paris. The company microfi lmed engineering
drawings for more than two hundred airlines, volumes for the Library of Congress, and numerous documents for companies and nations around the world.
He authored a series of historical
columns (“The Re-Echo”), many travelogues, and documentation of “Tombstone Territory” for the “OK Corral” television series. He is currently
