The Judicial System where he was raised seemed to take a dim view of Angus’ beer drinking and driving habits when he was eighteen years old and persuaded him that his natural talents would be better utilized flying around hugging a machine gun in Med-Evac choppers for the Marines in a far country he had never heard of with a bunch of other refocused juvenile delinquents.
This actually worked out for him better than he probably deserved since he lived through it and acquired a love of world travel only surpassed by his personal dislike of wearing uniforms.
He solved this by lucking into an entry level job in the engine department of a far sailing scientific research vessel that took him around the world the first of many times as he climbed through the ranks of the American Flag Merchant Marines. He served on vessels of all types from super tankers and container ships to coastwise freighters and oceanographic research ships that were his personal favorites.
When he was on dry land he could usually be seen driving across North America in a convertible and driving a cab around his native Seattle before deregulation wrecked that business.
But where ever he was, you would find a book close beside him.
He is the author of one book of poetry, The Snake Swallower of Cochin and Other Odd Occupations—Published by Year of the Dragon Press 1995.
He has loved mystery books since he read his first Hardy Boys when he was eleven years old. This is his first try at that venerable art form.
These days he follows the sun in a mobile home from one clothing optional resort to another writing books and occasionally dancing around naked.показать меньше
