During the day, Henderson teaches engineering and scientific writing full-time at University of California, Davis, where he is a third-generation faculty member. His father, Jerald M., and paternal grandfather, S. Milton, were both engineering professors who wrote textbooks and specialized in agricultural equipment design. At night and on weekends, Brad draws upon his lineage on his mother's side--as a creative writer, blues-rock drummer, and secret cowboy. His great-great maternal grandfather was California pioneer cattleman, Henry "Hartman" Hamel; his maternal grandfather was the maverick, Ford Farm Efficiency Award winning rancher, Richard H. Hamel; his maternal grandmother, Marie Hamel, was a storyteller and voracious connoisseur of American novels; and his mother, Frances Hamel Henderson, played the snare drum. Brad has worked as a corporate engineer, nightclub drummer, ranch hand, truck dock laborer, and maintenance man. He is the author of one published novel, numerous unpublished novels, two volumes of poetry, and also a forthcoming memoir as well as a "no brainer" grammar book for left-brain-thinking techno-professionals.показать меньше
