Her parents didn’t understand her confusion nor did she until puberty about age 11. Puberty was pure hell for her as the male hormones racing through her body made her extremely sexually active, but in a way that was very hard to understand, painful, embarrassing and totally confusing. Over her life she tried to hide her secret side and blend in to her parent’s expectation.
She studied Nursing at Lewis-Clark State College and in 1978 received her bachelor’s degree with a double major of Social and Natural Sciences. She kept her secret life hidden these many years. This produced so much stress that she was diagnosed with major depression at the age of 39.
She lived a very reclusive life until age 60 when she made the decision to live her life true to herself. She was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria in 2010. Coming out to her wife near their 40th anniversary her current life went to the wayside as she was rejected first by her spouse then her neighbors, community, church, music group and family. She was force to leave her home town and seek refuge in another state. She has been living in fear of her discovery of her secret ever since and is working to blend in to her new community. She has found a companion friend who is very supportive of her plight and gives her comfort. She is living as female and has found a little happiness for the first time in her entire life. She has decided to share these words of wisdom to help others avoid similar unpleasant happenings in their transition.показать меньше
