He is married to Dottie and they have two sons, Scott and Matthew. Mark is a pastor and received his education at Union University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Mark is a cancer survivor. In 2007, the week before Christmas, Mark was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on the base of his tongue at the age of forty-four. Mark endured sixteen chemotherapy treatments and thirty-five radiation treatments with nine different entry points on his neck. The principles he learned and the opportunities he has been given to encourage others led him to write this book. Mark and Dottie are actively involved in the American Cancer Society, particularly with Relay for Life and encourage everyone to support this great cause through gifts and service.показать меньше
