Since then, she has lived in more than a dozen cities and towns and currently calls Charlotte, North Carolina home. She obtained a BA from Wake Forest University and had the opportunity to take a class from Maya Angelou during this time. Angelou’s heartbeat for people and mantra that “we are more alike than different” was a piece of the inspiration for this book. Katherine holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. She has more than twenty years of work experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors and has spent most of her career fighting for educational equity for children. Outside of work, she is passionate about lending her time, skills, and resources to other organizations who are working to help all God’s people experience an abundant life.
Katherine has always had a love for writing but other than her graduate school admissions essay being chosen for Princeton Review’s Business School Essays That Made a Difference, she has mostly written in her private journals! It was in 2018 that she felt called to share a piece of her story with others, her spiritual awakening to what it means to be a White person in America trying to “act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God.” This calling has culminated in The Colorful Image of God, which is her first book.
Katherine is married to her husband, Lee, and they have three young children. In addition to spending time with her family, she loves hanging out with friends, traveling, and running with a good podcast in her ear. She recently started blogging at KatherineLearns.com.показать меньше
